C’ROO VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Want to lend a hand on the farm and help create the magic that is Bonnaroo?
Consider joining the C’roo!
Please direct all questions about volunteering to bonnaroovolunteers@festemails.com
WHAT IS THE C’ROO?
The C’roo (pronounced ‘kroo’ or you know…crew) is Bonnaroo’s festival-wide volunteer program! C’roo volunteers are an essential part in making sure that everyone at Bonnaroo has an unforgettable, fun and safe experience.
WHAT DOES THE C’ROO DO?
C’roo members work across various areas of the festival grounds to support staff and fans. You could be doing anything from assisting in the set up of different areas of the festival grounds, to being a friendly face for attendees as they come and go through entry points, or helping to maintain a green site. Regardless of where you’re helping out on The Farm, including tasks big or small, you’ll be making a huge difference in bringing the show to life!
WHAT DO I GET IF I JOIN THE C’ROO?
- Access to Bonnaroo and the ability to enjoy the festival whenever you’re not working a scheduled shift
- A C’roo t-shirt to wear during your shifts, and to keep!
- A meal token at the end of each of your shifts, for use at any of the festival food vendors!
-
If you are accepted to volunteer, during the onboarding process you will have the ability to let us know:
- Up to 2 friends you’d like to be scheduled with (if applicable)
- 1 favorite artist / band that you want to make sure you’re off shift for
-
Volunteers will be required to arrive for training early on the week of the festival, prior to festival show days.
-
Pre-show volunteers: must arrive to Bonnaroo on Monday, June 10th, 2024
During-Show Volunteers: should arrive to Bonnaroo Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 and NO LATER THAN Wednesday, June 12th, 2024- Keep in mind, this is to allow for enough time for you to check in, set up camp and attend your volunteer training session before your first scheduled shift

C’ROO POSITIONS
C’roo members are divided into pre-show volunteers and during-show volunteers. We have a limited number of pre-show positions, so returning volunteers typically fill these roles as they have first access to our application. You’ll be given a general description of the role you’ll fill with each of your shifts prior to starting. During the application process, we will ask you to let us know your top preferences of the C’roos listed below. Note that these are general descriptions of each role, and we ask you to remain flexible with tasks and assignments.
Pre-Show Support
As Support, you may be deployed to any festival areas where an extra hand is needed. This means you might work shifts across multiple C’roos. After checking in to your shift, you will remain on standby at our headquarters if we don’t immediately have anywhere to send you.
Pre-Show Logistics & Setup
You will assist with setting up various areas of the festival site, including the Accessibility Center, campgrounds, guest services booths, and more. Shifts may also involve lending a hand to other staff/programs that are an integral part of the logistics behind Bonnaroo. Tasks may include unpacking, cleaning, decorating, organizing, painting, moving furniture, etc. This C’roo is for volunteers who want to be moving around and working on their feet- helping to bring the vision of Bonnaroo to life!
Pre-Show Toll Booths
The toll booths are where festival attendees officially begin their experience on the Farm and you can be a part of making that arrival magical for them! Here you will assist festival staff in ensuring guests make it onto the grounds safely and efficiently. You’ll be the friendly faces welcoming all into the world of Bonnaroo. *Bring your own Roo C’roo to work with you- if you have 4+ friends willing to work all Tollbooth shifts, email us and we’ll do our best to pair you all together for your shifts!
During-Show Support
As Support, you may be deployed to any festival areas where an extra hand is needed. This means you might work shifts across multiple C’roos. After checking in to your shift, you will remain on standby at our headquarters if we don’t immediately have anywhere to send you.
During-Show Logistics & Setup
In this C’roo, you will be working alongside festival staff running the programs/areas that logistically help Bonnaroo remain a happy place for all. This may include assisting in the campgrounds, the Accessibility Center, and more.
During-Show Info/Lost & Found
You will assist the Bonnaroo guest services staff in ensuring that festival attendees have access to information when they need it. This C’roo will help attendees navigate the festival and ensure their experience on the Farm is positive.
During-Show Festival Activities
Shifts involve helping festival staff to maintain the flow of activities and happenings in plazas and campgrounds across the site. This may include assisting with the setup and take-down of daily activities and programming, interacting with guests passing through, and ensuring a memorable experience for all.
Although we’ll do our best to take your application preferences into account when assigning your C’roo, please note that some C’roos have a more limited number of positions/shifts available, and as such we cannot guarantee your placement.
