Grills and small camping stoves for cooking are allowed. If you have a portable grill or stove, you may bring up to 40 lbs of charcoal and/or a small (20 lbs or less) container of propane. Camping stoves with fuel are allowed as well, but please note that the small green Coleman propane tanks are limited to 2 per grill, per vehicle.
Once you’re finished grilling, be sure to let your grill cool down before putting it in your trunk, tent or under a canopy. Also be sure to safely dispose of the coals. Either close the lid/vents on your grill so the coals will naturally extinguish or slowly douse them with water in a sturdy metal container.
With either method, make sure the coals and ash are fully extinguished and cold to the touch before wrapping in either aluminum foil or a non-combustible metal container (like a sealed coffee can) before disposing of the coals and ash in a nearby trash bin.
