WHAT IS THE C’ROO?
The C’roo (pronounced ‘kroo’ or you know…crew) is Bonnaroo’s festival-wide volunteer program! C’roo volunteers are an essential part in making sure that everyone at Bonnaroo has an unforgettable, fun and safe experience.
WHAT DOES THE C’ROO DO?
C’roo members work across various areas of the festival grounds to support staff and fans. You could be doing anything from assisting in the set up of different areas of the festival grounds, to being a friendly face for attendees as they come and go through entry points, or helping to maintain a green site. We’ll do our best to take your personal interests into account when assigning your placements!
WHAT DO I GET IF I JOIN THE C’ROO?
- Access to Bonnaroo and the ability to enjoy the festival whenever you’re not working
- A C’roo t-shirt
- Free showers
- A vendor meal token at the end of each of your shifts
- If you are accepted to volunteer, during the onboarding process you will have the ability to let us know:
- 1 friend you’d like to be scheduled with (if applicable)
- Top 3 bands/artists you would like to see (we will do our best to ensure your shifts are scheduled around at least one of these top choices)
Not to mention, being a part of the C’roo gives you an inside look at the workings of a major music festival and the chance to help create magical experiences for everyone on the Farm!

C’ROO POSITIONS
C’roo members are divided into pre-show volunteers and during-show volunteers. We have a limited number of pre-show positions, so returning volunteers typically fill these roles as they have first access to our application. During the application process, we will ask you to let us know your top preferences of the C’roos listed below. Note that these are general descriptions of each role, and we ask you to remain flexible with tasks and assignments.
Pre-Show Visual Design & Festival Activities
You will assist with the set up of art installations and decor in various plazas and areas of the festival. Tasks may include unpacking, cleaning, decorating, organizing, painting, moving furniture, etc. You will help bring the vision of Bonnaroo to life!
Pre-Show Support
As Support, you may be deployed to any festival areas where an extra hand is needed. This means you might work shifts across multiple C’roos. After checking in to your shift, you will remain on standby at our headquarters if we don’t immediately have anywhere to send you.
Pre-Show Logistics & Setup
You will assist with setting up various areas of the festival site, including the Access center, campgrounds, guest services booths, and more. Shifts may also involve lending a hand to other staff/programs that are an integral part of Bonnaroo, such as the Jamtrack, toll booths, vendors, and more.
During-Show Support
As Support, you may be deployed to any festival areas where an extra hand is needed. This means you might work shifts across multiple C’roos. After checking in to your shift, you will remain on standby at our headquarters if we don’t immediately have anywhere to send you.
During-Show Logistics & Setup
In this C’roo, you may help manage the flow of attendees using the Jamtrack, greet incoming Bonnaroovians at the toll booths, or be assigned elsewhere on site assisting festival staff to ensure these programs run smoothly.
During-Show Info/Lost & Found
You will assist the Bonnaroo guest services staff in ensuring that festival attendees have access to information when they need it. This C’roo will help attendees navigate the festival and ensure their experience on the Farm is positive.
During-Show Festival Activities
Shifts involve helping festival staff to maintain the flow of activities and happenings in plazas and campgrounds across the site. This may include assisting with the setup and take-down of daily activities and programming, interacting with guests passing through, and ensuring a memorable experience for all.
During-Show Sustainability
The Farm is a beautiful place and we want to ensure it stays that way! This C’roo is vital in helping with recycling efforts, waste reduction, educating Bonnaroo attendees on best sustainable practices, and helping with other environmentally-conscious festival initiatives and efforts. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on The Farm and the people that make up Bonnaroo
Although we’ll do our best to take your application preferences into account when assigning your C’roo, please note that some C’roos have a more limited number of positions/shifts available, and as such we cannot guarantee your placement.
